  1. On October 21, the Government of Japan decided to implement Emergency Grant Aid of 3 million US dollars through United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) response to damages caused by Hurricane “Matthew” in the Republic of Haiti.

  2. This emergency grant aid is to provide humanitarian assistance such as food, transporting humanitarian supplies and assistance for early recovery, as well as water and sanitation, and health and medical care for preventing infections in the south areas of the country, which has been enormously affected by the Hurricane.
