Sri Lanka: Monsoon Floods - Jul 1984
The UNDRO/UNDP resident representative in Colombo reports that excessive monsoon rains have caused floods in the districts of Ratnapura, Kegalce, Gampaka, and Colombo. Preliminary information indicates 3 deaths, 14,000 families homeless, and over 1,500 houses destroyed. (UN DHA, 14 Jul 1984)
