A severe local storm on the night of 2 Apr 2013 caused heavy flooding in La Plata, the capital of the Buenos Aires province in Argentina. The flooding affected over 350,000 people, led to mass evacuations and caused 52 deaths. (IFRC, 12 Apr 2013)
