Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- A spell of dry weather continues in the DPRK. There have been sporadic rainfalls in most areas of the county from 00:00 Tuesday to 10:00 Saturday, which were not enough to overcome the damage from drought.

According to data available, it rained 18 mm in Jagang Province, 13 mm in Pyongyang City, 4 to 8 mm in North and South Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho City.

No rainfall was witnessed in North and South Hwanghae, Ryanggang and Kangwon provinces.

The drought damage is getting more serious in most parts of North and South Hwanghae provinces and some parts of Kangwon Province. -0-
