Highlights

  • As efforts are underway to reach a stable agreement between the Government and the opposition in South Sudan, refugees continue to cross the border into neighbouring countries.

  • Since mid-December, more than 370,000 South Sudanese have arrived in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Sudan.

  • Assessments are ongoing or have recently taken place in Sudan and Uganda to inform the response from WFP and the wider humanitarian community.

  • WFP requires USD 76 million for the next six months to meet the needs of all refugees in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Sudan.
