Islamabad: The UAE Red Crescent Authority (UAE RCA), has distributed clothes to 5,500 underprivileged children in central Pakistan 's Punjab province.

The Director of the UAE RCA office in Islamabad, Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, said work was organised in coordination with the UAE Embassy to secure the delivery of clothing through direct supervision.

Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the International Aid in the UAE RCA, said that the distribution of the clothes is part of the third phase of the implementation of the campaign launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to provide clothing for one million children around the world.

He highlighted that the office of the UAE RCA in Islamabad continues to distribute thousands of items of clothing to underprivileged children in Pakistan, especially orphans and people with disabilities. –Emirates News Agency, WAM
