KARAMOJA [ACTED News] – Twenty-four members of six Pastoralist Field Schools (PFS), from both sides of the Kenya-Ugandan border that are supported by ACTED, came together in the village of Namalu in Uganda this January to share experiences, exchange lessons learned, discuss challenges faced, and explore ways of expanding trade between their communities. This visit also prepared the ground for future peace, as members of the Pokot and Karimojong communities worked together to develop ideas for initiating a cross-border and intercommunity peace process. This initiative is being implemented with support from Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.
