Highlights

  • The Philippines‟ emergency response operation has scaled up to respond to multiple locations traversed by Typhoon Bopha (locally known as Pablo) in Mindanao, Visayas and Luzon.

  • Bopha has cleared land and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the morning of 7 December.

  • The death toll has risen to 331 people; the number is expected to increase.

  • Some 348,400 people are in 541 evacuation centres across 8 affected regions.

  • Needs assessments are continuing in Mindanao.
