HIGHLIGHTS

• In January, 618 weapon-related injuries were reported from three hospitals in Mogadishu.

• No outbreaks of communicable diseases were reported from Somalia in January.

• WHO and health partners have raised concerns that the effects and impact of the ongoing drought could increase the risk of communicable disease outbreaks.
