Mali: Humanitarian Dashboard (as of July 2017)
SITUATION OVERVIEW
The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate in the north and center of the country in connection with the renewed insecurity and violence recorded in recent months as well as with the rainy season. Clashes between armed groups and inter-communal conflicts and tensions have forced thousands of people to flee. In addition, seasonal flooding has affected nearly 4,100 people. The climate of insecurity negatively affects the means of subsistence of households and limits their access to basic social services. During this lean period (June to August 2017), 3.8 million people are in need of food security assistance, including 600,000 people in crisis phase. This is an increase of 805,000 people compared to last year.
