Madagascar: Response activities build momentum

As funding for the Flash Appeal - budgeted at $20.1 million – comes in, humanitarian partners are able to scale up response activities to respond to the most critical needs of those most affected by Cyclone Enawo – the number stabilised at 434,000, with 58 districts out of 119 reporting damages. To date, the appeal is 45% funded but it will be revised at the end of this month in order to cover the humanitarian needs for the next six months, based on results of sectoral assessments that have been completed or are currently on-going.
