Nutrition sector reached 3,000,000 children and pregnant and lactating women(PLWs) in need from January to November 2016 ,with curative and preventive nutrition services. This includes 1,061,668 girls and boys under-ve and PLW screened for acute under-nutrition, 29,581 Girls and Boys under 5 years and 3,223 PLWs were identied with acute under nutrition and treated. Additionally , 426,291 girls and boys under-ve and 129,445 PLWs received micronutrients supplementations and 576,632 PLWs were counselled on infant and young child feeding (IYCF), this was achieved through 4,392 health facility staff, who were trained on community base management of acute malnutrition and IYCF counselling.
